What This Is

Naked & Unashamed exists because those stories need air. Not judgement. Not fixing. Just honest space, real brothers, and the courage to be seen as you actually are.
Based in Northern Ireland, we offer retreats, community, and one-to-one support for men dealing with shame, mental health, body image, addiction, and identity.

I'm a man of faith, a herbalist, a husband, and someone who knows what it's like to carry things in silence.
I started Naked & Unashamed because I believe men are dying — literally and figuratively — from the weight of things they've never been able to say. We need spaces where the armour comes off. Where we can be real. Where brotherhood isn't just a word.
This isn't about having all the answers. It's about having the courage to sit in the questions together.
Garreth is a Consultant Medical Herbalist (B.Th., Dip. H.M., MNIMH) and also runs The Wild Sage, a herbal medicine clinic in Northern Ireland.

What is Naked & Unashamed?
Naked & Unashamed is a faith-rooted brotherhood for men based in Northern Ireland. We offer retreats, community, and safe spaces where men can address shame, mental health, body image, addiction, sexuality, and identity — without judgement or pressure.
Who is Naked & Unashamed for?
It's for any man who carries things he's never been able to say out loud. Men dealing with shame, abuse, addiction, body image issues, questions about sexuality or identity, low self-esteem, or simply the weight of pretending. All backgrounds, all faiths (or none), all stories welcome.
Is this conversion therapy?
Absolutely not. Naked & Unashamed is not conversion therapy and never will be. We don't tell anyone what to think, who to be, or how to live. We create space for honest exploration — curiosity, not conversion.
What happens at a Naked & Unashamed retreat?
Retreats are 3–4 day immersive experiences in nature. They include shinrin-yoku (forest bathing), campfire conversations, sauna sessions, group sharing, and time alone. There's no tech, no performance — just men being real with each other. Nudity elements are always optional and consensual.
Where are the retreats held?
Retreats are based in Northern Ireland, in natural woodland and rural settings. Exact locations are shared with registered participants.
Who founded Naked & Unashamed?
Garreth Falls — a Consultant Medical Herbalist (B.Th., Dip. H.M., MNIMH) based in Northern Ireland. He also runs The Wild Sage, a herbal medicine clinic and shop. He started Naked & Unashamed from a deep conviction that men need safe spaces to be honest about what they carry.
Is this a religious organisation?
The project is rooted in Christian faith — specifically the Genesis 2:25 concept of being 'naked and unashamed.' But it's not a church service. There's no altar call, no preaching, no pressure. You don't need to share the founder's faith to belong here.
How do I join the community?
You can join our online men's health community through the Community page on this website. It's a private, moderated space where men use real names and support each other with honesty and respect.
Is the nudity element mandatory?
No. Nudity at retreats is always optional and fully consensual. It exists to strip away the barriers we hide behind — not for any other purpose. Every participant agrees to a code of conduct. This is a safe space with zero tolerance for sexual behaviour or harassment.
